This is a cute, cosy retelling of The Little Mermaid for anyone who would've preferred Ariel to stay IN the sea.
While Erika (transfemme) and Ariel were both very sweet, I found the romance a little too whirlwind. However, that was to be expected due to the short length of this story. I would've liked to see more development in the story when it came to the situation regarding the surrounding circumstances in which Ariel had to find a partner to be wed on a deadline. Why wasn't Triton helping her? Why didn't he intervene until it was almost too late? All in all, I did enjoy this quick and easy cosy retelling.
