This is only my second graphic novel, so it took me a little time to adjust to reading and looking at the artwork cohesively. I kept reading ahead and would have to go back and pay attention to the artwork, or vice versa. However once I got into a rhythm - and the story - it was very enjoyable. The artwork is stunning! And who doesn't love a book that features cats? Fair warning, it does put the graphic into graphic novel, as there's quite a bit of violence and gore - which for some reason affected me more than when I read it or watch it on tv??? My other comment is that the story seems to be developing very slowly, I still feel like I don't know a lot of what's going on, so I am definitely planning to continue on to the next volume.
