Well, that was really a shame. This one was 80% exposition based on something that didn't actually happen in the 70s, something barely interesting, with characters that gave you no reason to care about their fates. If this had been told from the perspective of someone like Martha or Bridgette, right from the point at which it all started, it would have been a whole lot more enjoyable. But it wasn't. So it wasn't. Sorry, Mr. Nevill... I'm still gonna read the Small Shadows one, though.
