Immersed by Jenetta Penner

“Immersed” is the second book in the Configured trilogy. I read “Configured” a few months ago, and it was awesome, so I knew that I wanted to read the next book. “Immersed” was great. The book takes the reader on the continued journey of Avlyn Lark. In the story Avlyn has arrived in the city of New Philadelphia. She and her friends have to figure out how to hack into a government complex in order to save Humanity. The fun part is that Avlyn has certain abilities that allow her to hack much better than most people. I don't want to give too much away about this book, because if you haven't read the first one I don't want to ruin anything for you.

The character development in this book is great, and Avlyn and her friends are all very well-rounded as characters. Avlyn struggles with knowing who to trust throughout this book, and she has to make some big decisions about what to do based on who she feels she can trust.

This book is set in a futuristic setting where everyone has high tech gadgets, so that's fun. My only qualm with this book is that there is a love triangle starting to form, which I found a little unnecessary. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
