The Heart of Betrayal
by Mary E. Pearson
The Heart of Betrayal is a gripping sequel that kept me on edge, even as I wished Lia would decide on the tangled web of loyalties and love surrounding her. Yet, her refusal to bend to anyone’s will and her determination to chart her path were genuinely inspiring. Everyone around her had their agendas, but Lia’s resilience and ability to think critically about her beliefs and choices made her stand out.
