Worth The Risk by Bea Borges

4.0

Winnie and Rhett are so sweet. After growing up together, they dated for a summer before he went off to play professional hockey. His plan was always to retire in their hometown, and a torn ACL (MCL? one of the big ones) accelerates that plan. And if he gets to spend his time wooing back the love of his life, even better.

Rhett is the least problematic male main character I’ve read in a MINUTE. He’s just a man obsessed with his best friend’s sister, and willing to do whatever it takes to win her over!

I loved the anxiety disorder rep. Winnie is hardworking and loyal, and the portrayal of her fight with her own brain was so realistic and awesome.

Great debut! I hope we get Colt and Marigold next!
