The Acts Of Life by Kristin Mulligan

5.0

“If there’s one thing I learned out of all of this, it’s knowing that a mentally deranged person can be hiding in plain sight.”

This was a supplemental read added this month for the #steamandscreambookclub and I AM HERE FOR IT. Do you like both steam and scream in a book? Because let’s face it, it’s more fun that way, right? If you answered yes immediately, then go read this and have it BLOW YOUR MIND.

What I Loved:
-that this is a debut book by a fellow Bookstagrammer, and it is DAMN good
-holy moly the steamy parts in this book! They are immediate and abundant!
-Sam and Stella, they are twins with one screwed up relationship. Sam lives to make Stella happy, and is constantly seeking her approval.
-all of the other revolving relationships in this book involving significant others with the twins!

There are so many moving parts to this book! Manipulating, lying, and jealousy are abundant! Heinous thoughts creeping into ones mind lead to irreprehensible actions. Death surrounds some of these characters like the grim reaper! If you enjoy the You series by Caroline Kepnes or Verity by Colleen Hoover, then grab this one up! I got vibes from both!

⚠️CW/TW: mental illness, suicide, murder
