My goodness! I am still speechless about this book. I love a good thriller and I was literally at the her of my seat. And I was heavily invested and I as so on the edge of my seat, I’d read a little at a time instead of devouring the text in one sitting. I was immediately a Roman fan and stayed team Roman until the very end.
The family dynamic was so wrought andthe reader understands the tension. Dante, Neveah, and Roman have been through a lot together. And they have survived. Barely. What happens though when surviving becomes too much of an ordeal? What happens when you have to become the darkness you’re running from? I am still processing these characters and the situation.
There were two lines that stayed with me:
1. “Everything burns” and
2. “The devil has no friends.”
Your heart will break; it will cry; and it will long for vengeance. And it will feel so much for the Carruthers family.
Still speechless!
