I liked that this wasn’t a dystopian “let’s take down the evil government” YA book. Instead, it felt realistic (even if the science of it left my eyebrows raised.) While reading, I kept wondering, if something like this happened to my family, what creative things would we do to find food and survive?

Not a literary masterpiece, but definitely held my interest.
