The Pale Horse by Agatha Christie

3.0

This was one of my least favorite AC books. I wasn't really attached to any of the characters and got many of them confused when I heard their names. Though it is an intriguing idea, I just didn't like the way it jumped from the mystery to the police all of a sudden having the answer. For some reason, when Poriot or Miss Marple make inquires and find the solution "out of thin air" it seems more believable. But in this novel, I just wasn't convinced, especially as the Police were not even really involved until the end. It was a good idea to have the black magic involved
Spoiler and used as a coverup for a simple poisoning crime. I definitely didn't see the ending coming or even suspect the murderer. Also Mrs Oliver was barely in this novel and definitely didn't seem that important of a character in the solving of this mystery. Though she is a fun character.
Enjoyable, but not my favorite.
