For the first half to two thirds of the book, this book left me with so many questions and some frustrations at not knowing why Arden kept killing Evelyn. It also kind of felt repetitive with the flash backs. That being said, oh my, the last bit of the book just came out of NOWHERE and totally sucked me in! I adored the ending and it just felt so right/fitting/relieving, etc etc. I ultimately did enjoying seeing the flash backs and seeing the overall progression of their interactions/relationship. I liked the variety of civilizations and types of love that were shown throughout. Overall, I ended up enjoying this book quite a bit, but really particularly towards the end. I had a lot of satisfaction from when Arden and Evelyn finally got it on, and the final timeline was just adorable.
Moderate: Death, Sexual content, Violence, Grief, Murder
Minor: Torture, War
I enjoyed how they weren't tied to one gender each reincarnation, and the love still felt genuine in each one.
