The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther

4.25

This was such a fun summer romance book. I loved that unlike many books, the FMC had no problem showing affection, apologizing, or making the move first. She had a good head on her shoulders and when presented with difficult information, she was able to work through it well. The epilogue was also a great finish to the book. This book wasn’t spicy but had “fade to black” scenes where it was implied what happened. I only have two complaints. Without spoiling with names, there was one character that was definitely more of a bitch than necessary and the FMC let her off the hook way too easily. Additionally, there was a character that completely disappeared (although we never met this character, the FMC had talked about him plenty) and I felt like there could have been better closure with that character than what we had. Overall, it was a quick read and a very enjoyable book.
