I enjoyed this book a lot! I loved how Rayne cared for and wanted to help the kids at the youth center, Rayne's family was so welcoming to Emerson, Rayne was so protective of Emerson but still let her maintain some of her independence, and the chemistry between Rayne and Emerson was definitely there! I felt the sexual tension between them right away. And the suspense was good! However, I did feel like the story was at a stand still sometimes. It felt like a lot was happening and nothing was happening at the same time. Due to pacing issues possibly??? But, not entirely sure. I was overall pretty pleased with this book though and will probably read the 2nd book in the series at some point! 🙂
