For a gal who has been stuck in her Fanstay Book Era... I finally get the hype of a Small Town Romance
This was so addictive to read, once I started I couldn't put it down. The big Grumpy Asshole (who is actually a big softy) vs the Sunshine-y people pleaser (who is really a bit of a mess) hit hard and fast and I honestly loved it!
This book was funny, relatable, sweet, SAD, and sexy all wrapped into one. Dual POVs are always a favourite of mine, I love getting both sides of a story!
I really enjoyed the family dynamics - the sweet romances, friendships, and found-family moments, but also the struggles of broken families and strained relationships (**there are some topics touched on like DV, mental health/struggles, and substance abuse so a little trigger warning for those who find those themes more difficult to read about)
There are quite a few really cliché, predictable moments throughout - which at times were comforting because you kind of know where things are going (like a good comfort rom-com) - but also why I'm not giving it a full 5 stars, because well, I knew where things were going? 🌟
"You can't spend your entire life trying to make everyone else happy -
Eventually you're going to give a little too much and you won't have enough left over for yourself" 🤍
Reccomend if you love a bit of:
Sunshine vs grumpy
Fake relationship
Touch her and die
Cute AF nicknames 🥰
