Life isn't always as we perceive it. Ginny aka Zinny as a young person, begins the novel realizing her stable one child marriage is probably ending. Her husband Harris says things she cannot fathom. Worrying for her fifteen year old daughter, Ginny turns to her harsh, sick mother, her friends at the dog park, and her best friend Kirsten. Through journal flashbacks we discover Zinny's transition to Ginny, her teenage romance, and the tragic secret that changed everything. This novel explores the lengths people go to to protect others as well as themselves. It also details forgiveness and the stages we go through to get there.
