This is a beautiful art book that will stir the imagination. Parents reading with children can spend a good bit of time discovering everything that the pictures do. The "story" is a series of statements asking you to "imagine a world..." followed by poetic descriptions of the pictures. As a lover of words, I enjoyed the text; however, I am not sure how involved children will be come without some very animated reading and the exploration time. This isn't a book to read quickly and move along so plan to spend some time with it.
