The Golden Age, Book 2 by Roxanne Moreil
3.0
The Good: The story moved quickly and I read this in the morning. Satisfying ending. Beautiful art.
The Middle: Perfectly fine story. While the art was beautiful, it wasn't quite my style. A little too pinched-looking, if that makes sense. Sometimes the action was unclear to me, as well as what certain (seemingly important) objects were. The first book took place over weeks or months and was a sprawling story. This was a week long, at most, but probably closer to just a few days.
The Bad: Big time jump from the last one, which would have been fine if they hadn't skipped over some interesting and/or vital stuff. I don't need the author to hold my hand but a little more connective tissue would have been appreciated. And I wouldn't have minded some more character moments besides the sisters.
