I like the shifter side of the story and that wolf and man don't always have to see eye to eye even though they are the same person. That both need to be respected and trust/loyality/etc needs to be earned from both wolf and man.
I also "like" why Parker had to take power - in order to protect the reputation of the previous Alpha. Did it hurt them all? Yes. But, I think, the alternative would have hurt even more.
I didn't like that Parker just took what he wanted and Ezekiah didn't get a choice.
