I’ve read June Hurs other 2 books and absolutely loved them, so I kind of went into this book with high expectations. Those expectations were both met and succeeded. I have fallen in love with Hur’s writing and she is now one of my favorite authors. I read her book ‘The silence of bones’ as a way to ease myself into the mystery genre as well as read it as a fiction korean history and i absolutely LOVED it. I recommend reading her other books as well as this one. I’m also looking forward to her new upcoming book.

side note: i follow her in instagram and i love that she interacts with her fans. she’s also very sweet!!
