A quick synopsis: The Twelve dates of Christmas is a cute romcom that you can read for the holidays. Kate is our FMC and is at her 30s. She has a design job and also bake for the coffee shop of her best guy friend. However, Christmas is approaching and since she doesn't have a date, her girl friend suggested her to go through a program called 12 dates of Christmas. There she will be paired with different people to find her soul mate.

Ok.. even before I started this book I knew, being a romcom, who she would ended up with, but the romantic interactions between her and "the guy" was minimal and I thought we could have more of that. Nonetheless, I liked the ideas of the dates (I will actually do some of those with my own husband) and the people she met were sometimes funny, sometimes terrible but for me this was the best part of the book: seeing how she navigates the dating pool at her 30s.

Aside from the lack of enough romantic interactions with the guy she will end up with, there was a lot of emotional drama with her parents that it was not really solved or well tied-up and I thought some of it was completely unnecessary for the plot.

Overall is a fun and easy read. The food descriptions and the dates were my highlights for this book
