A hilarious, adventurous magical realist novella about an unnamed protagonist who goes from odd job to odd job searching for her purpose in life. The short chapters, wacky premise, and stream-of-consciousness writing style not only made this a breeze to read through, I had a blast reading it! The protagonist is loveable, but flawed, and her circumstances are the absurd product of an exaggerated version of the dystopia that we call capitalism, making her plight all the more relateable. This was definitely a surprise favorite of mine, so I can't want to check out more of Leichter's works!
