Everything was going fine until the 90% mark when I started sobbing my whole brain out in true zodiac academy fashion.
I really think it was rude for this book to hurt me the way it did and like it was overkill because the pain just kept going while I was already sobbing, like why?
I can’t physically rate it anything than 5 ✨ but I am still very mad about that. That ending was just horrendous and the cliffhanger also made me cry because that’s just cruel.
Setting my heartbreak aside though, I’m the majority of the book I adored that the Zodiac Academy books don’t take themselves too seriously and just have so much fun with adding bizarre comedy to the plot while also maintaining such an intriguing, deep and nuanced plot line, romances and relationships. It’s really one of a kind (until the endings come around and break me).
I will never get over how Darcy and Orion just cannot catch a break from the stars, it really drives me crazy but also them in this book was just everything. I mean I guess that’s Tory and Darius as well but I still have faith.
I was screaming at Seth and Caleb and their miscommunication had me wanting to punch the wall.
There were so many hilarious bizarre times in this book that I had no idea what was going on and why but I loved it, it was so chaotic. Everything related to Xavier had me in hysterics, from his horrible timing to *other* escapades. The last 10% of this book are a whole 180 though and just killed me but also had some of that amazing writing that made the action incredibly interesting.
Love these books but am always salty at how much they hurt me.
