Greenwich Park
by Katherine Faulkner
1.5 stars
Hmm, well. This was a very meh 2 star for most of it, until the third act just quashed any potential it had left. Astonishingly un-unique with decent prose that couldn’t make up for the lack of, anything else. If all felt supremely artificial and contrived, with nothing interesting or new to say, sticking closely to genre conventions and not delivering on the affect they’re intended to produce.
As I said, though, I actually quite enjoyed her writing style, so I may try her next book and hope this was just a lackluster debut.
