The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson

3.0

This book follows the formula for many other contemporary romances but it does it well enough that I still had a good time reading this. I can’t say I felt particularly attached to any of the characters and I found there was a LOT of repetition (“Noah effing Taylor!”) that I kind of rolled my eyes at.

Overall, it was a decent read and there was a good amount of spice in it. I do think they relied HEAVILY on the grumpy sunshine trope and personally, I would’ve like to see more depth. I also feel like halfway through the book I was no longer in the mood to read it and I kinda had to force myself to finish it (I’ve been reading a LOT of romance lately and def need a break). All that being said, I would still recommend this!
