perhaps the worst book i’ve ever read, made worse by a seeming tourist’s understanding of new orleans and the narrator’s mispronunciation of lafayette despite a comically thick cajun accent. roughly 2% of the book takes place in louisiana so if you want a story about the bayou, look elsewhere.
