I didn't really know who Rose McGowan was when I started listening to this audio-book, but while listening to it I realized that I DID know her, or at least I had heard about her before.
I also realized that I love her.
That is something I sometimes feel compelled to tell people I don't know at all, but what can I say, that's how I felt when listening to her story.
This is not only a story of all the horrible things she had to go through throughout her life, it is also a story of survival; a story of bravery and of overcoming. It is so inspiring to listen to her story, and it makes you want to immediately run out and change the world.
In a span of a few hours, I went from knowing nothing about Rose McGowan, to declaring my love for her and her cause on Goodreads. I'd say that is a succesful outcome.
PS this book is not just for women and feminists, I think everyone should read it; it really is an inspiring experience
