Pretty Girls

You know, everyone is talking about the torture scenes and yes, those weren't my fave. The main reason I dnf, was the depiction(s) of unresolved grief. Because they are TOO REAL. Anyone who's experienced loss, without nice and tidy explanation(s)- should NOT read this book. The various ways people deal with grief are brutiful (brutal and beautiful) both irl and this book. Grief is weird. But grief without concrete answers- fucking sucks. And the way Slaughter depicts that is- brutiful. So anyone who's dealing with that should def avoid this book. And that's maybe the best compliment I can give it.
