I picked this book from BOTM because they called it a "western for people who don't read westerns".
Not what I expected, but so much better! It really is a western for people who don't read westerns. I loved the pro-feminist and pro-LGBTQA+ vibes woven in as a natural part of the story. It had the excitement and drama you'd want from a western while providing social commentary similar to A Handmaid's Tale. Could have easily finished in a day or two if the rest of my life had given me the time.
