I was disappointed with this book, the first three of the series have been so good they really exceeded my expectations but this one was just lacking. That being said there were elements that I really liked, for a start this is the only book in the entire Bridgerton/Rokesby world where BOTH of the main characters are inexperienced. It’s refreshing to not have the typical deflowering scene that is soooooooooo overdone in Julia Quinn’s books. I was getting a bit cringe at them tbh so this was a nice change and took away that power dynamic.

But overall I kinda plodded through it, there wasn’t any big plot points and I could see the outcome coming from very early on. Nice characters, interesting new locations… Okay but not exciting.
