This book explains various clues and inspirations that Taylor used to write some of her biggest hits, helping her fans to understand the deeper meanings behind her writing and realize the breadth of her ingenuity.
I learned so much about Swift's inspirations for her songwriting, the multitude of references she makes to classic literature and tropes, and the brilliant ways she creates albums based on eras in history intertwined with her personal life. I do wish fewer songs were selected and a more in-depth analysis was performed on its influence, themes, and the way they connect to other songs in Taylor's repertoire the way they did for the song All Too Well.
