the romance that comes out of nowhere between the 150+ year old wizard and the 17 year old girl he essentially stole from her village was weird. and it wasn’t even a good romance. just random making out and then a sex scene i had NO IDEA was coming and was not needed in this book. also, the wizard’s absolute lack of empathy and even anger towards our main character when she defends herself against getting r*ped was awful. also it was too much action for me. but magic is cool and i like the “walker” creatures.
