I have read this story before because I have to do a review analysis of this story for someone, didn't know back then that this could be consider as a read. So just to give a quick synopsis of the story, basically The Lottery is set in a small (probably secluded) American town, where once a year in the month of June, a Lottery happens where every member of the family in the town must join but no one seems to want to win in this lottery.

I like how the story builds up, ultimately and escalating as you read it further. If you are looking for a mysterious and thrilling read, one which makes you question morality in societal form then I think this book is for you. Plus, it's a short read and thus means easier to accomplished reading if you are in a reading slump.
