This was a moving read with some cute and wholesome moments (plus, a cat!!). I was able to see bits of myself and my own insecurities or fears and also feel sympathetic to what the characters were going through. There are beautiful, vivid descriptions of Malaysia that made the words come to life but of course imagined through the lens of the world on the verge of ending. Aisha has to deal with her own personal grief as well as her grief towards the future she lost. I'd definitely try to read more from this author and recommend this to anyone looking for a somewhat melancholic yet hopeful read.
Also, super sweet romance! Both in Walter and Aisha's relationship and in their parents' stories.
