The earlier stories feel more connected and are also just generally better but overall the book was a lot of fun to read.
For those reading the book with French as a second language, the vocab is not too complicated and definitely good for those at an intermediate level, but you might want to have an French dictionary handy as some of the more obscure words (obscure to me at least) tend to be important to the story, such as certain building features (like skylights, etc.).
