I received this book free in a SavvyMom/Harper Collins Canada giveaway. This probably isn't a book I would have picked up on my own, but I really enjoyed it! The writing was great and the story definitely drew me in. When I got about 50 pages from the end, I basically told my kids to look after themselves because I needed to finish! I thought the characters and relationships in the book were genuine and believable. I did guess the outcome somewhat, but I don't think that detracted from the story or the reading experience. I will definitely seek out more books from this author since I very much enjoyed this debut!
