The Gulag Archipelago, Abridged Edition by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

2.0

I GET that its an important book, and people should read this to understand the horrors of the Russian prison system, but his writing is so hard to get through (both because the content is genuinely disturbing and because his writing style is very “stream of consciousness”)
I DNF’d halfway through. The chapter on interrogation made me feel sick.

I AM counting this in my “Read” books because I know eventually I will come back and finish this, and also because I did put in an honest effort to read and finish this book, I just couldn’t do it this time around.
