Supernatural Academy: Year Three by Jaymin Eve

3.0

I really liked the Trickery series by Jaymin Eve so I thought: this series looks potentially awful judging by its cover but let's give it a shot!! I am a lover of magical academy books so already this series had potential, and I LOVE Atlantis so ... great premise. This series was not horrible in any way. It was entertaining enough for me to read three books and had suitable twists and turns. The problem is that it was SUCH a great premise and even the characters were adequate but the execution was just ... blah. I'd almost prefer the book to be all bad rather than half good half bad because that just makes reading it all the more frustrating. There were parts of this series that really worked, and then the rest was just a let down. And the ending itself was just majorly disappointing after a 3-book build up. I was in a reading slump when I picked up this series so it did what it needed to do when I wanted to mindlessly read a fantasy book but I don't think I would ever pick it up again.
