I felt that the overall plot of this one was more impactful than the story itself. Whenever I read or hear someone talk about this book, they will, without fail, mention the plot and the setup and the key takeaways. What's lost from the novel, and why this one lost a couple stars for me, are all of the extra things that round out the characters. Perhaps that's the point though - he becomes as flat as the caricature he created.
