Pete Souza's command of photography is exemplary. He knows how to frame a shot both for detail work and expansiveness; close ups, angles, use of space, light, he does it all. He adds meaning to his work framing the president so often with images of presidential and black history that speak volumes. He can photography with light, casual humor just as well as he can communicate reverneace and heavy weight of all the important moments and responsibilities of a president. He shoes president Obama as a real person, as family man and a public servant. His photographs are intimate and touching and keep on surprising me with he obvious skill with the craft.
