On the Road by Jack Kerouac

3.0

I think this book tackles the idea of restlessness as very human and we all have this somewhat innate expression to want to be away from our lives sometimes, while also using those around us to benefit, as well as learn from.

Unfortunately a lot of the time I felt the material was getting redundant, female characters are not complex at all, yet, Dean is admittedly the star of this book, leaving me charmed and as one of the most memorable fictional characters to me. However, I prefer the first half of the book focusing on Sal's journey.
