Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson

5.0

Absolutely harrowing. After the first fifty pages, I had to start reading this book in little bits and never before bedtime; this is the type of nightmarish reality that many in the justice system live. Content warning regarding racism, abuse, and disability. I appreciated that Stevenson brought to light (quite profoundly) that disabled people are targeted and abused in such social systems. I know Stevenson is not a Christian but I could not help but thank God for him, and ask God to make more of him.
