This is a touching story that follows two women - one in 1885 and one in present day - as they work to protect vulnerable girls on the streets of London. This story deals heavily with themes of trafficking but does so with a deft hand. I enjoyed the spiritual themes in the book and appreciated that while it dealt with a hard subject it did so in a way that was not too graphic as it is not an easy subject to read about.
