the first 5-stars-book in 2024.

First of all, we can guess who is the culprit in the beginning of the book. So be careful if you don't like this kind of book, it's not for you.

This is soooo page-turning. The plot is engrossing that I can't stop reading it until it was over. When I read the first chapter, we have been told who the culprit is. But the investigation of the case went very tough and I feel like I'm riding a roller-coaster. We know the culprit but we can't help to suspect the other characters too or perhaps feel empathy for each of the characters.

We know we have Detective Kusanagi and Detective Galileo (Yukawa) in this series. So, here they had differents opinion/assumption about "who is the culprit?" and "how the culprit did the crime?". Anothe interesting character for me is the junior female detective, Utsumi, who became a bridge between Yukawa and Kusanagi and she gave a female voice to this investigation.

The twist is crazily impossible but possible. Ifykyk. I was so stunned to know how the culprit commited the crime, bcs it's almost impossible to prove the culprit guilty. Like.. it surely is a perfect crime. But again, Yukawa did amazed me with the way he think. The whole process he observes and assumes something and relating it to his science thingy -even if it's not as much as in TDoSX- was brilliant. Like... who the hell would thinking of that?? except him??

I think it's a perfect book tp recommend to anyone who loves mystery/thriller/crime books with how-dun-it trope. I myself really love the book a lot. For my Indonesian friends who wants to reads the book, don't worry, it's already available in Bahasa Indonesia.
