Saint Young Men, Omnibus 1 by Hikaru Nakamura

5.0

A hilarious comedy in which Jesus and Buddha inexplicably come to Earth and love in Japan. It's chock full of references to Buddhism, Christianity, and Japanese culture, all of which make a for a really unique blend of fantastic comedy and an endearing pair of lead characters.

Admittedly, the humor may not be for everyone: I imagine someone who is quite devout or had a conservative upbringing that still factors into their beliefs.

I think even if you don't have a religious faith, you might find the humor too offbeat. But for me, the humor already worked, and kept me giggling till I closed the cover.

I'm eagerly awaiting volume 2!
