Hawkeye: Kate Bishop by Marieke Nijkamp, Enid Balám

1.0

Maybe I wouldn't dislike this so much if it wasn't so closely associated with the Matt Fraction run, but this ain't it. Which is honestly diappointing because I was hopeful about a non-cis-man writing Kate and I have enjoyed some of Nijkamp's other work (The Oracle Code is quite good). But it was just not anything special, and I really didn't like the art.

I was tempted to bump it up because America Chavez, light of my life, does show up, but its hardly noteworthy and there isn't much butt-kicking for her to team up on. Plus I cannot overstate how much I didn't like the art. Its off-putting in a way that I couldn't quite put my finger on, and the female character's proportions are WILD, even for a comic book.
