Beyond the Wand by Tom Felton

4.0

I listened to the audiobook read by Tom Felton and that was a wonderful decision! Hearing his memories and considerations straight from him enhanced the charm of the sensation that we were just hanging out and chatting about his life, which made me feel like we were friends.

The stories he shared were a little bit less than cohesive as a unit which is why this isn't 5 stars, but honestly it aided in the feeling that this was like a conversation between friends catching up after a long time apart. How's your life been? How was Potter? How did you get to be the man you are now? These are the questions that feel like the prompts for this memoir, and they are answered with wonderfully compelling anecdotes that cover a wide range of human experiences like fear, confidence, loneliness, despair, silliness, starting over, and looking back.

All the best to you, Tom (I know we are not actually friends but a girl can dream).
