Didn’t know it was part of a bigger series. Though when I started to read I realised it reminded me of the original book. But although it siad #1, unfortunately you really need to read the original Max Ride’s series to understand more of the different characters. Otherwise the whole thing just feels so detached and badly written. Hope they turn this into mini series one day. Can imagine it better on screen.
