An Innocent Abroad: Life-changing Trips from 35 Great Writers by Don George

4.0

Fascinating stories of travels and tribulations. The theme of these narratives is how one loses a type of innocence when they travel and what that loss reveals. There are many "big name" writers featured, but I would recommend this book for the other writers-- the ones who are not as familiar. Their stories seemed to be more sincere, as if they really wanted to convey the import of the moment to you. The big names seemed more polished, stylized, and distant. But one thing is for certain: you will finish this book ready to pack your bags and set off on adventure.
