I would never give anything less than 4.5 stars to any book in this series because I love it with my entire heart but I have to say this was my least favorite of the series. Simply because it didn’t feel like much happened either to the plot but also to the development of the characters and their relationships. Like we barely got anything from Claire and Gibs as a couple other than them finally deciding to be a couple?! Like I want the grit, the obstacles, the fight for their love- everything just seemed a little surface level. I love Gibsie so much and I just feel like his story didn’t get explored nearly as much as the other characters in the books. I’m hoping that this is because the author needed us to know Lizzie’s story before she could delve deeper into Gibsie’s story and then merge them together. So I am truly hoping for another book for the Claire/Gibsie rollercoaster ride. It was really nice to get glimpses into the other couples post Reedming 6 and the Aoife and Joey and AJ crumbs we got were SO GOOD. I am looking forward to the book in the series when all the timelines converge and we are all caught up to “modern day” in the books.
