I’d like to start off by saying I love Ali Hazelwood’s work sooo much, this book unfortunately was just not it for me. She gave a disclaimer at the beginning that this was more of an erotic romance—which I was kind of excited for until I felt an absolute disconnect to the couple. Her main character had a lot of relatable qualities—I had a similar upbringing, but she seemed very robotic to me. I get she went through a lot & the spicy scenes were for the most part good, but some of the things she would say concerned me A LOT. And frankly what her love interest would say also concerned me A LOT MORE 😂 it was giving early wattpad, which is fine—we love a wattpad moment but I honestly preferred when that meant the love hypothesis & not an emotionally unavailable woman somehow finding all of her problems solved by a guy she hardly knew after some good sex. Idk maybe it’s just not for me, I’ll definitely give her other books another go but I won’t be revisiting this one
